  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed a viral claim circulating on social media about the introduction of new ₦5,000 and ₦10,000 banknotes, labeling it as fake news. The claim, which included fabricated images of the supposed new denominations featuring Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, falsely stated that the new notes would enter circulation from May 1, 2025. In a statement on its verified Facebook account, the CBN clarified that the content is not from the bank and directed the public to its official website, (www.cbn.gov.ng), for authentic information. The bank warned against spreading misinformation regarding monetary policies and urged Nigerians to rely only on official statements from its verified channels. A WIFE POURED HER HUSBAND HOT WATER OVER HIS PLANS OF MARRYING A SECOND WIFE IN KANO.{PHOTOS}.

          Woman pours hot water on husband and father of her 10 children's private part, over his plans to marry a second wife.


 A Kano State Primary school teacher, Mallam Aliyu Ibrahim Fayan-Fayan from Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State had hot water poured on his body targeting his private part.

 “Since the time I told her about my plan to marry another wife, I did not see any change of attitude from her and we had been living together peacefully.
In fact, she promised me that she would be among those that would buy the wedding items for the bride".
“Last night after I returned home, I bought some meat for them. I met her boiling the water, but I had no idea what she was going to use it for me."
The whereabouts of the lady who has 10 children with her husband is currently unknown, as Ibrahim is currently receiving treatment at the Danbatta General Hospital where he was rushed to by neighbours.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
