 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. NAF TO PARTNER WITH A TEXTILE COMPANY FOR LOCAL PRODUCTION OF UNIFORM FABRICS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       SELF-RELIANCE: NAF TO PARTNER WOOLLEN AND SYNTHETIC TEXTILE MANUFACTURING LIMITED FOR LOCAL PRODUCTION OF UNIFORM FABRICS
In compliance with the Federal Government’s directive for the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) and other security agencies to patronise the Nigerian Cotton, Textile and Garment (CTG) Industry Sector, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is perfecting plans to partner with Woollen and Synthetic Textile Manufacturing Limited, Ikeja, for the local production of NAF uniform fabrics. In this regard, a team from Headquarters NAF, led by the Chief of Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Muhammed Yakubu, visited the Company, today, 16 July 2019, to inspect facilities at the factory as well as assess the capability of the Company for mass production of high quality NAF uniform fabrics. These fabrics, some of which were hitherto imported from abroad, would subsequently be sewn into NAF uniforms of various sizes at the NAF Investment Limited (NAFIL) Tailoring Workshop, Kaduna. It is expected that the NAF’s partnership with the Company, and others in the Nigerian CTG Industry, would further enhance the Nation’s self-reliance in terms of uniforms production whilst also boosting employment opportunities for Nigerians.
