 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. NAF TO PARTNER WITH A TEXTILE COMPANY FOR LOCAL PRODUCTION OF UNIFORM FABRICS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       SELF-RELIANCE: NAF TO PARTNER WOOLLEN AND SYNTHETIC TEXTILE MANUFACTURING LIMITED FOR LOCAL PRODUCTION OF UNIFORM FABRICS
In compliance with the Federal Government’s directive for the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) and other security agencies to patronise the Nigerian Cotton, Textile and Garment (CTG) Industry Sector, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is perfecting plans to partner with Woollen and Synthetic Textile Manufacturing Limited, Ikeja, for the local production of NAF uniform fabrics. In this regard, a team from Headquarters NAF, led by the Chief of Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Muhammed Yakubu, visited the Company, today, 16 July 2019, to inspect facilities at the factory as well as assess the capability of the Company for mass production of high quality NAF uniform fabrics. These fabrics, some of which were hitherto imported from abroad, would subsequently be sewn into NAF uniforms of various sizes at the NAF Investment Limited (NAFIL) Tailoring Workshop, Kaduna. It is expected that the NAF’s partnership with the Company, and others in the Nigerian CTG Industry, would further enhance the Nation’s self-reliance in terms of uniforms production whilst also boosting employment opportunities for Nigerians.
