 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. PRESIDENT BUHARI SYMPATHISES WITH VICTIMS OF JOS BUILDING COLLAPSE, EXPRESSES CONCERN ABOUT SAFETY STANDARDS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the families of the victims of the building collapse in Jos, Plateau State, which claimed lives.
According to figures released by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), 14 persons have so far died in the collapsed three-storey building in Delimi Community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.
Reacting to the incident, President Buhari said he was greatly shocked at the unfortunate loss of lives and wished those injured quick recovery.
Commiserating with the survivors of the accident and families of the dead, President Buhari said:
"I feel your pains at this difficult moment and my prayers, thoughts and empathy are with you as you struggle to overcome the shock of this misfortune."
While praying to God to comfort everyone affected by the sad incident, the President urged stakeholders in the building industry to find a lasting solution to the frequent incidents of building collapse across the country.
According to the President, "there is the urgent need to address the issue of enforcing safety standards in our buildings in order to forestall future tragedies."
