 Portable apologises to Saheed Osupa, shows off new look after release Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly tendered an apology to Fuji music icon, Saheed Osupa, following his recent arrest and brief remand in a correctional facility. Beauty products Earlier this week, Portable was arrested by the Kwara State Police Command over allegations including criminal defamation, threat to life, incitement, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The charges stemmed from a series of online statements he made about the veteran Fuji singer.       The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A. Adamu, NPM, mni has assured Nigerians of adequate security before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
As part of measures toward ensuring a peaceful and incident-free Sallah celebration, the IGP has directed all Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) in charge of Zones and State Commands nationwide to deploy adequate operational manpower and equipment to protect all places of public interest, including: shopping malls, motor parks, financial institutions, places of worship and recreation centres to enable holiday makers, worshippers and the general public enjoy optimum safety and security during the season. The IGP in particular has directed that all State Commissioners of Police including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) should put in place strategic and customized security deployment on major highways straddling their Areas of Responsibilities (AOR) to ensure adequate safety for travelers and other road users.
Meanwhile, the IGP heartily expresses goodwill to, and congratulates, all Nigerians especially the Muslim Ummah as they join other Faithfuls all over the world, in celebrating this year’s Eid-el Kabir.
While reassuring the public, especially, worshippers, travelers and all well-meaning citizens that the Nigeria Police will effectively discharge their constitutional responsibility of providing adequate security for all, the IGP advises Nigerians to, at all times, be security conscious and report promptly, every suspicious move by individuals or group to the Police or other relevant security agencies.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
