 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

ENUGU CATHOLIC PRIESTS STAGED A PROTEST TODAY OVER THE GRUESOME MURDER OF LATE REV. FR. PAUL OFFU YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

      Priests of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu are currently staging a protest and marching towards the Enugu State Government House over the gruesome murder of one of their own, Late Rev. Fr. Paul Offu.
Father Offu was murdered by yet-to-be-identified men along the Ihe-Agbudu Road in Awgu on Thursday night, August 1st.
Until his death, Father Offu was the parish priest of St. James the Greater Parish, Ugbawka.
The protesting priests are demanding the immediate arrest of Offu's killers.

A catholic priest was Shot Dead yesterday evening in Enugu by Suspected Herdsmen
The Catholic Diocese of Enugu announced the tragic death of REV FR PAUL OFFU who was shot dead yesterday evening (1st August 2019) by some hoodlums suspected to be the notorious and murderous herdsmen, along Ihe-Agbudu Road in Awgu LGA.
Fr. Offu hailed from Okpatu in Udi LGA of Enugu State and until his death, was the parish priest of St. James the Greater Parish, Ugbawka.
Enugu Shares boundary with Benue State in the North east And Kogi state to the north west.
This might explain while Enugu has suffered such attacks the most in the South east region.
May the perpetual light shine upon his gentle and illustrious soul.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
