 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. ONE DEAD,MANY INJURED AS DANGOTE CEMENT TRUCK COLLIDES WITH A BRT BUS IN LAGOS TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

     A tragic accident which occurred in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, left a BRT bus passenger dead and many others injured.
The sad incident occurred on Tuesday morning, after a cement truck belonging to Dangote company veered off its lane and collided with a 60-seater high capacity Bus Rapid Transit BRT.
Confirming the accident which led to a traffic gridlock as the road was cordoned off on both sides for easy rescue and evacuation operation, the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
