 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. THE LADY THAT LOCKED A BOY IN A DOG CAGE HAS BEEN ARRESTED BY THE POLICE.{PHOTOS}.

      The police say it has arrested Onyinye Mbadike, a 24-year-old who was caught on camera locking a young boy in a cage harbouring fierce dogs.
Bala Elkana, Lagos State Police public relations officer, made this known in a statement released on Thursday.
Contrary to reports that the incident took place in Nsukka, a town in Enugu state, the crime occurred in Aguda, Lagos.
Dolapo Badmus, who is the PRO for Zone 2 Police Command, said the boy who is an orphan has been taken to a secured shelter.
“The Gender Unit traced the suspect to Chumpe Liquor Store, Surulere and her residence at Aguda,” the statement read.
“The suspect admitted that she is the one on the viral video flogging the child with a belt, but she denied locking the survivor in a cage with dogs. That she only locked him in an empty dog kennel where bags are kept.
“She claimed to have locked up the Boy for a few hours before bringing him out. She alleged that the boy took a hot drink in their refrigerator and was misbehaving.
“That he smashed the side mirror of her Toyota Camry with stone which made her detain him in the dog kennel. Investigation revealed that the survivor lost his parents and was brought to Lagos in 2012 from Anambra.”
According to the police, the boy is Mbadike’s cousin.It happened in Aguda, Lagos.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
