  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. COURT ORDERS TEMPORARY FORFEITURE OF SARAKI'S PROPERTY TODAY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday October 21, 2019 ordered the temporary forfeiture of two properties located in Ikoyi area of Lagos State and belonging to the immediate past Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, to the Federal Government. The Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC had in an ex parte application filed by the Commission's Lawyer Nnaemeka Omewa approached the Court, seeking an order of interim forfeiture of the properties located at No. 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos, alleging that they were acquired through proceeds of unlawful activities.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
