 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN FOR GIVING FALSE INFORMATION.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The EFCC, Kano Zonal office has arraigned one Abdullahi Tijjani before Justice O.A Egwuatu of the Federal High Court Kano on a one count charge of giving false information. Tijjani allegedly misled operatives of the EFCC by giving them false information wherein he alleged that a staff of Yankura Branch of Eco Bank Plc unlawfully withdrew the sum of Seven Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N7,200,000) only from his corporate bank account. The matter has been adjourned to November 19, 2019, for commencement of hearing.
