  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.      The Maiduguri Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 re- arraigned one Mustapha Usman before Justice Lawu Lawan of the Yobe State High Court, Potiskum, on one count of criminal breach of trust, misappropriation and diversion of fund to the tune of N2, 600,505.00 (Two Million Six Hundred Thousand, Five Hundred and Five Naira).

Usman had previously been arraigned before Justice Garba Nabaruma of the Yobe State High Court, Damaturu on one-count charge, bordering on misappropriation and diversion.
