  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. GOV. SANWO-OLU APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN FOR LAGOS SPORTS COMMISSION TODAY.#PRESS RELEASE.

         Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mr. Olusola Aiyepeku as the new Executive Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission Governing Board (LSSC).
Aiyepeku replaces Dr. Kweku Tandoh, who had been at the helm of affairs of the Lagos State Sports Commission since the year 2017.
A letter signed by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola stated that the appointment, which is a four-year tenure, took effect from 28th October 2019, noting that Aiyepeku has a track record as a sports enthusiast and administrator.
Prior to the present appointment, Mr. Aiyepeku was the CEO of SNT SelSports.
