 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. LAGOS TO PROSECUTE FOUR POLICE OFFICERS INDICTED IN EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) has directed the immediate prosecution of four police officers for the alleged extra-judicial killing of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the Commissioner gave the directive sequel to the petition received from the families of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo as well as the review and thorough investigation and review alleged extrajudicial killing of the deceased persons by the four police officers, namely Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergent Olaniyi Solomon, Sergent Solomon Sunday and Constable Aliyu Mukaila of the Nigeria Police Force.
It noted that in the course of the investigation initiated by the Office of the Attorney-General fresh evidence came to light indicting the concerned Police Officers.
"This necessitated a review of the earlier legal opinion issued and the subsequent directive by Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) that the suspects be charged for the killing of the deceased persons" the statement added.
While commiserating with the bereaved families and all those affected by the unfortunate incident, the Attorney- General assured the general public of the present administration's resolve to uphold the Rule of Law in the State, no matter whose ox is gored.
