 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. LAGOS TO PROSECUTE FOUR POLICE OFFICERS INDICTED IN EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) has directed the immediate prosecution of four police officers for the alleged extra-judicial killing of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the Commissioner gave the directive sequel to the petition received from the families of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo as well as the review and thorough investigation and review alleged extrajudicial killing of the deceased persons by the four police officers, namely Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergent Olaniyi Solomon, Sergent Solomon Sunday and Constable Aliyu Mukaila of the Nigeria Police Force.
It noted that in the course of the investigation initiated by the Office of the Attorney-General fresh evidence came to light indicting the concerned Police Officers.
"This necessitated a review of the earlier legal opinion issued and the subsequent directive by Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) that the suspects be charged for the killing of the deceased persons" the statement added.
While commiserating with the bereaved families and all those affected by the unfortunate incident, the Attorney- General assured the general public of the present administration's resolve to uphold the Rule of Law in the State, no matter whose ox is gored.
