 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers. LAGOS TO PROSECUTE FOUR POLICE OFFICERS INDICTED IN EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) has directed the immediate prosecution of four police officers for the alleged extra-judicial killing of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the Commissioner gave the directive sequel to the petition received from the families of late Segun Sholaja and Ogheneovo Ebobo as well as the review and thorough investigation and review alleged extrajudicial killing of the deceased persons by the four police officers, namely Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergent Olaniyi Solomon, Sergent Solomon Sunday and Constable Aliyu Mukaila of the Nigeria Police Force.
It noted that in the course of the investigation initiated by the Office of the Attorney-General fresh evidence came to light indicting the concerned Police Officers.
"This necessitated a review of the earlier legal opinion issued and the subsequent directive by Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) that the suspects be charged for the killing of the deceased persons" the statement added.
While commiserating with the bereaved families and all those affected by the unfortunate incident, the Attorney- General assured the general public of the present administration's resolve to uphold the Rule of Law in the State, no matter whose ox is gored.
