 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. LASG PAYS N1.181BILLION INTO THE RSA PG 279 RETIREES.#PRESS RELEASE.

    The Lagos State Government has disbursed the sum of N1.181billion accrued pension rights into the Retirement Savings Accounts of another batch of 279 retirees of its Civil Service.
The Director-General, Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) Mrs. Folashade Onanuga made the disclosure at the 68th Retirement Benefit Bond Certificate presentation ceremony held on Tuesday in Alausa, Ikeja.
She affirmed that the present administration is committed to the regular payment of retirees’ benefits to ensure that beneficiaries do not undergo financial pressure after meritorious service to the State.
Onanuga assured the retirees of the government’s interest in their wellbeing in old age, noting that the issue of backlog payments was being addressed as additional funds would soon be released in tranches for further payments.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
