  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. The Duke and Duchess will learn about Pakistan’s dynamic culture and rich history on the Royal visit, as well as celebrate a long, historical relationship between both countries.
Pakistan is part of The Commonwealth and Her Majesty The Queen, as Head of The Commonwealth, first visited the country in 1961 and again in 1997.
