 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX JOINED YOUNG LEADERS TODAY AT A ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION ON GENDER EQUALITY AND INCLUSION.{PHOTOS}.

     Today at Windsor Castle: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined young leaders at a roundtable discussion on gender equality and inclusion.
The Duke is President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and The Duchess is Vice-President.
Impactful young leaders from around the world including South Africa, Iraq and Malawi led a discussion on how to drive meaningful change and empower women.
The roundtable was organised by The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and One Young World, both charities support and connect young leaders to bring about change.
The Duchess of Sussex is a longstanding supporter of One Young World, having first joined as a Counsellor at the 2014 summit in Dublin.
Earlier this week The Duchess of Sussex attended the 10th Annual One Young World Opening Ceremony at The Royal Albert Hall, which brought together 2000 young leaders from 190 countries.More photos below.
