A ghastly motor accident occurred at about 15.00hrs Sunday October 6,2019 around Obasanjo Farm, along Abeokuta-Ifo road ,Ogun State . Within seconds, The Road Safety Commander (pix left), M A Ajayi, who is an Asst. Route Commander, RS2.2 Ogun State Command drove in with his team following an alert they received from a motorist who saw the accident as it happened.
The wounded passengers were so many for the Commander"s car to convey them to the hospital. Ajayi was just too impatient to negotiate for and wait for the arrival of an ambulance! He dashed to the road and stopped this man (Pix left) Mr Thomas Pedepo, who was traveling in his Hilux Van to Badagry. Pedepo volunteered his vehicle and suspended his trip to Badagry.
And Within seconds, the victims were put in the two vehicles and Pedepo and Ajayi raced against time to the hospital. Within a short time frame they took some of the wounded to the the Federal Medical Centre and the others to the General Hospitals in Abeokuta.
Their quick intervention and kindness saved almost all the victims as only "one " of the wounded could not make it to the Hospital.Ajayi was seen agonising over the victim that did not make it .

Commander Ajayi and Citizen Pedepo demonstrated kindness and love Uncommon. They are great Nigerian citizens in their own right.
NB: This is calling on the FRSC and other organisations involved in road safety to increase the number of ambulances deployed on our roads. It should also be possible for them to have trained emergency medical responders work with road safety officials .
This will reduce the carnage on our roads
Kudos to Commander Ajayi and Citizen Pedepo
