 JAMB explains ‘not admitted’, ‘admission in progress’ statuses The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has explained the meanings of the “Not Admitted,” “Admission in Progress” and “Admitted” statuses displayed on candidates’ Central Admissions Processing System. JAMB gave the explanation in an explainer video shared on Thursday, urging candidates to continue checking their CAPS for updates as the admission process progresses. Explaining the “Not Admitted” status, the Board said, “This simply means you’ve not been offered admission yet. However, it does not necessarily mean you will not be admitted.” It advised candidates whose status remained “Not Admitted” to keep checking their CAPS for possible updates.
