Edo State Governor Clashes with PDP Over Support for President Tinubu Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has strongly criticized the state chapter of the Peopleās Democratic Party (PDP) for misrepresenting his support for President Bola Tinubuās administration. In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, the governor dismissed the PDPās claims as āweakā and unfounded. The controversy arose after Okpebholo, while hosting 17 acting chairmen from Edoās 18 local government areas who recently defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed confidence in President Tinubuās re-election in 2027.
