 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. ALLEGED $1.49M MONEY LAUNDERING: EFCC ARRESTS BANKER AND HIS WIFE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The EFCC, Lagos office, has arrested a couple, Rowly Isioro a former Assistant General Manager with one of the first generation banks (Name withheld) and his wife Ovuomarhoni Naomi Isioro, a business woman, for their alleged involvement in Business Email Compromise, BEC, and money laundering. The couple were alleged to have laundered the total sum of One Million and Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($1.49m) which was allegedly transferred to Ovuomarhoni Naomi’s bank account in Nigeria.
Their arrest followed a petition received by the Commission from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, through the office of their Legal Attache, United States Consulate Victoria Island Lagos, about their alleged involvement in computer related fraud, stealing and money laundering.More photos below.
