 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.     On the 22/11/2019 at about 1:30pm,following intelligence report Police detectives attached to Ogidi Division arrested two female suspects at Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.They were arrested with three kids,(two boys and a girl )whose age ranges between 1 and 5 years respectively.
2. Suspects were negotiating on how to sell the Children alleged to have been stolen/trafficked from Enugu-Otu village in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.
3. Case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
4. Consequently, the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc urges Parents whose children got missing and fall within the above age bracket to report at the PPRO office State Command headquarters Awka for proper identification and collect their children, please.
