 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. GRATIFICATION: EFCC ARRAIGNS TWO JUDICIAL STAFF.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The EFCC, Kano Zonal Office today, November 12, 2019 arraigned the duo of Ado Shehu and Ali Muhammad before Justice Amina A. Aliyu of the Kano State High Court on a three count charge bordering on theft and receiving gratification. The complainant had alleged that one Williams Aondo, who was then a staff of Skye Bank, conspired with one Ado, a staff of Sharia Court, Kano State and instituted a civil action claiming the complainant was late, after they noticed a lull in transactions on his account for several years, not knowing that he was alive and well in Saudi Arabia. The petitioner also alleged that the Court, acting upon the information presented before it by the said Ado Shehu and Ali Muhammad, ordered his account to be closed and N1,255,728.00 that was in the account be remitted to it for distribution to his supposed legal heirs.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
