  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. KDSG NAMES TWO MORE WOMEN AS SPECIAL ADVISERS TODAY.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Mrs. Stella Amako and Hajiya Zainab Shehu have been named Special Advisers to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, for Community Relations and Social Development, respectively. These appointments bring to five the number of women among the 11 special advisers in the current government.
According to a statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the new special advisers are among the 17 officials that were appointed today. Most of the new appointees played active roles in the Kaduna APC 2019 Campaign Council and the Transition Committee or were officials in the Kaduna State APC state executive.
The new appointees are:
1. Stella Amako, the new Special Adviser- Community Relations, served on the Transition Committee and the APC Campaign Council.
2. Zainab Shehu, Special Adviser- Social Development. She was Director, Women in the APC Campaign Council.
3. Aliyu Haruna, Senior Special Assistant- Youths. He is a former member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
4. Ibrahim Ismail, Senior Special Assistant-Community Relations. He is a former member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
5. Hafsat Aminu Ashiru, Senior Special Assistant -Administration, Office of the Deputy Governor
6. Nazir Sanusi, the Special Assistant- ICT, was an aspirant to the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
7. Mohammed Bello Shuaibu, Senior Special Assistant, Stakeholder Relations. Before this appointment, he was Secretary, Kaduna State APC.
8. Yakubu Yatai, Special Assistant- Community Relations. He is currently State Publicity Secretary of the Kaduna State APC.
9. Ibraheem Shehu Musa, Special Assistant, (Media & Publicity). He was a member of the Transition Committee and the APC Campaign Council.
10. Ashiru Zuntu, Special Assistant- Community Relations. He served in the first-term government.
11. Rabi Musa Manchi, Special Assistant- Legal Matters was a member of the Campaign Council.
12. Mahmud Mahmud Aminu, Special Assistant- Legal Matters
13. Aminu Lawal Na-Anty, the new Special Assistant-Youths, was a member of the APC Campaign Council.
14. Sonia Bature, Special Assistant- Environment. She was a Technical Assistant to the Commissioner of Local Government.
15. Kamal Aliagan, Special Assistant-Public Communication, Office of the Deputy Governor.
16. Sakinat Bello, Special Assistant- Environment. As a youth corper, her feisty question at the KDSG SDG Conference in January 2019 earned her an instant job offer which has now been redeemed.
17. Mohammed Jalal is nominated as a commissioner in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission. He served as Director, Social Media in the APC Campaign Council and was a member of the Transition Committee.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
