CBN DEBUNKS FAKE NEWS ON NEW N5,000 AND N10,000 BANKNOTES.(PHOTO).

  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed a viral claim circulating on social media about the introduction of new ₦5,000 and ₦10,000 banknotes, labeling it as fake news. The claim, which included fabricated images of the supposed new denominations featuring Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, falsely stated that the new notes would enter circulation from May 1, 2025. In a statement on its verified Facebook account, the CBN clarified that the content is not from the bank and directed the public to its official website, (www.cbn.gov.ng), for authentic information. The bank warned against spreading misinformation regarding monetary policies and urged Nigerians to rely only on official statements from its verified channels. The CBN reaffirmed that any major policy decision, including the introduction of new banknotes, would be announced through its official platforms. MISS FAITH OTITOCHI ,WON THE CROWN AT THE 2019 'NIGERIAN CULTURAL QUEEN' PAGEANT.{PHOTOS}.


      After series of contests, Miss Faith Onyeozire Otitochi, recently emerged winner of the 2019 edition of the Nigerian Cultural Queen Pageant, beating 23 other contestants.

As part of the competition, the contestants thrilled guests with joint choreography performance, and individual traditional dances to represent their states in its attires.The contestants also walked down the aisle in creative African outfits and diner outfits made of African fabrics.

The event also featured live performances from various singers.

Speaking at the event, centered on celebrating Nigerian cultural diversity,
the Chief Executive Officer, Gold Point Productions, organisers of Pageant,
Ben Okafor, said the concept is geared towards rebuilding the Nigerian culture

According to him, Our Culture is our identity, culture is a way of life and it is going down. “This is a platform to catch, Promote and educate the youths and bring back our cultural value.
This is NOT a beauty pageant; 
it is also a platform set up for girl child empowerment.

“Beyond the beauty, we are looking out for the Queen that will be a voice. who understand where she is coming from, knows her tradition, culture, their foods, dressing, greetings and language. We promote decency in our pageant and we don't promote indecent wear or Bikini, our focus on our cultural attire that edify our beauty. 

“Our culture can build the economy, promote tourism and develop the Nation. Understanding each other’s culture would help to bring the unity and restore peace,” he said.

Queen Faith , who had so much passion about our Culture, said"I don’t want to have a reign without setting out a great legacy that would make our nation to the world proud, I want to  see our local fabrics no one,
