 PDP: Defection of Delta gov, others unfortunate –Damagum •Says 2027 contest between Tinubu and Nigerians Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, has described the defection of the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and top members of the opposition party in the state to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as unfortunate. Damagum, who stated this at the presentation of Certificate of Return to the PDP candidate for the November 8 Anambra State governorship poll, Jude Ezenwafor, said the party least expected that leaders of the Delta PDP would defect to the ruling party. Senator James Manager, had after a meeting in Government House, Asaba, reportedly announced the defection of Oborevwori and leaders of the Delta PDP to the APC. POLICE OPERATIVES NABBED MURDER SUSPECT WHO ALLEGEDLY KILLED A KEKE RIDER AND SNATCHED HIS TRICYCLE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      It would be recalled that on the 2/10/2019, a Keke Rider one Dumebi Oforkansi 'm' aged 25 years of Ubarunisionye village, Nando in Anambra East LGA was kidnapped by unknown persons and taken away along with his tricycle (Keke)while operating it for commercial purpose.
2. Following the report, Police operatives attached to the Command State intelligence Bureau (SIB)swung into action and arrested one Chizoba Nwoye 'm' aged 29years of Achalla-agu village Nteje in Oyi LGA of Anambra State who confessed that himself and one EZENNIA NWEKE 'm' alias 'ABADA" aged about 25 years of Achalla-Agu allegedly conspired and killed the victim, buried the corpse inside the bush along Achalla-agu Nando road and made away with his keke.
3. Consequently, suspect led a team of Police detectives to the scene where the victim was buried in a shallow grave and his decomposing body was exhumed,certified by a medical doctor in the presence of the deceased parents who equally identified the clothes he wore. Thereafter, the body was photographed and released to the deceased father for proper burial.
4. Meanwhile, the snatched keke was recovered from one Anthony Charles alias 'Walter' 'm' aged 27 years from Ebonyi State, also arrested.
5. However, the principal accomplice one EZENNIA NWEKE alias (Abada) 'm' aged about 25 years of Achalla-agu,Nteje in Oyi LGA who allegedly conspired with Chizoba Nwoye to perpetrate the dastardly act is still on the run in order to evade arrest and was subsequently declared wanted by the Police.
6. Case under investigation after which both the murder suspects and the receiver would be charged to court for prosecution. The Command enjoins "Ndi Anambra" and residents alike with useful information about the whereabout of Ezennia Nweke to contact the nearest Police Station/formations or call the Police emergency number 07039194332 for prompt action, please.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
