 Dollar speculation: FG rubbishes Binance CEO’s bribery allegation The Federal Government on Tuesday vowed to pursue the criminal case against the crypto platform, Binance, and its officials, to a logical end. Speaking against the backdrop of a bribery allegation made by the Binance Chief Executive Officer, Richard Teng, in a blog post published by the New York Times, top officials of the President Bola Tinubu administration described as false and unfounded the accusation that some individuals demanded $150m bribe in cryptocurrency to settle the criminal charge against the firm. The NYT on Tuesday reported that on a trip to Nigeria in January, Tigran Gambaryan, a compliance officer with the exchange, received an unsettling message: The company had 48 hours to make a payment of roughly $150m in crypto. PRESIDENT BUHARI URGES IMMEDIATE END TO VIOLENCE IN BOKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     President Muhammadu Buhari strongly condemns on-going violence in the Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, which has in the past 24 hours led to a yet to be ascertained number of deaths and arson attacks.
So far, there have been claims and counter claims as who restarted the killings and arson between neighbouring Nsadop and the Boje communities. While the origin of the mayhem is still unclear, President Buhari notes that no dispute or grievance is worth the violent snatching away of another person's life. Nigerians must learn to live peacefully with each other and seek less brutish means of resolving conflicts. Our country does not need another war.
President Buhari understands that our security agencies are already intervening to bring an end to the crisis. He also makes an urgent call on the Cross River State government and the Boki local government authorities to immediately look into the crisis and take action to ensure that this unfortunate situation is resolved both in the short and long terms.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
