  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. INTERNET FRAUDSTER BAGS SIX MONTHS JAIL TERM IN ILORIN.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The EFCC, Ilorin Zonal Office on Monday, December 23, 2019, secured the conviction of one Enoch Oluyode who was prosecuted on offences bordering on Internet Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences. Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of a Kwara State High Court, sitting in Ilorin, the State Capital, convicted and sentenced Oluyode to six months imprisonment after finding him guilty on a one count amended charge levelled against him by the EFCC. Enoch Oluyode (Alias John Donnna ) sometime in October, 2019 at Ilorin, within the judicial division of the Kwara State High Court, did attempt to cheat by impersonation, when he pretended to be one John Donnna, a white Caucasian vide Gmail account: johndonna777@gmail.com and in that guise, communicated with one Colin Wison vide Hangout, a representation he knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 95 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 324 of the same Penal Code.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
