 Nigerian man takes up the challenge to be bur!ed alive for 24hours A Nigerian man who identifies as Young C has embarked on a challenge to be buried alive in a coffin for 24 hours.  He made this known in a series of posts on his Instagram page on Wednesday,  stating that the stunt was genuine and not a hoax.  He announced his intention to broadcast live footage from the coffin at night. Sharing a video on his Instagram account on Wednesday, he said, "I am going to be spending the next 24 hours buried in this casket. Guys, this is real, not fake.  "And the most amazing part is that I am going to go live by night." In a subsequent update, Young C revealed that he had been buried for over 8 hours and was experiencing physical discomfort, including excessive sweating.      Lagos State Government in the spirit of the yuletide season, celebrated with children living with disabilities and presented financial support to the various service providers for the children at a Christmas party held at the Correctional Center for Junior Boys Birrell Avenue , Sabo Yaba, Lagos.
The Commissioner for Ministry of Youth and Social Development , Mr Olusegun Dawodu appreciated the Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for celebrating with the various service providers and the physically-challenged persons.
Dawodu said that the event was in sync with the present administration's plegde to ensure that children living with disabilities in the state are not left behind in the scheme of things.
The Commissioner who averred that disability is not the lack of ability, stated that the potentials of children living with disabilities is often overlooked because of the negative pre-conceived notion about these categories of persons.
He maintained that the present administration will create a level playing ground for children living with disabilities to be useful and contribute their quota to the growth and development of the society.
Dawodu added that government will continue to create awareness on the importance of catering for the welfare, wellbeing of children living with disabilities and also provide financial support and enabling environment for private groups and service providers who are ready to help these children.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Mrs Yewande Falugba said that government would continue to provide enabling environment for children living with disabilities to thrive by way of developing laws and policies that will enable the service providers discharge their duties with ease.
The head of Children Development Centre, Surulere, Dr Yinka Akindayomi who is also one of the representatives of the service providers, congratulated the officials of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development for their consistency and kind dispositions towards children living with disabilities.
Dr Akindayomi said with the financial support presentated by the government, the families of children with disabilities would be further encouraged not to hide their children because of their physically-challenged nature.
She however, appealled to the relatives of children with disabilities not to abadon them but realise that some of the greatest people in the world were born with disabilities.More photos below.
