  Nigerian Police Officer In Kaduna Threatens Reprisal Attack On Southerners In North Over Edo Killings A police officer from Kaduna State, Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, has threatening reprisal attacks on southerners living in northern Nigeria. Dan-Taki's comment came in response to the killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Dan-Taki, through a Facebook post, swore in the name of God, declaring that northerners in the north must take action against southerners.  He further warned that southerners had forgotten that their families were living in the north, vowing that "within one week, the southerners shall see the result."      President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his resounding election victory in the United Kingdom general election.
The President notes that Britain has been a reliable and historically unique ally of Nigeria, and has particularly supported this administration’s efforts at improving security and recovering stolen assets held in the UK.
President Buhari looks forward to continue working with the Prime Minister to forge a stronger Nigeria-UK relationship, especially in the area of trade and economic partnerships which greatly benefits the citizens of both countries.
The President wishes Prime Minister Johnson the best of luck as he navigates the people of Britain through the decisive period of leaving the European Union.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
