 Two APC aspirants withdraw from Anambra Gov primary election Ahead of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra scheduled for tomorrow, two of the aspirants have withdrawn from the race Sir Paul Chukwuma from Umueri, Anambra North and Chukwuma Umeoji from Aguata withdrew from contest on Friday. Chukwuma, who was one of the leading contenders for the APC ticket, proceeded to resign from the party He told party members that he will keep supporting President Bola Tinubu in the Renewed Hope Agenda in repositioning Anambra, despite leaving the party According to him: ” Mr President is not the problem of APC, but some of the unprogressive elements who don’t want the party to move forward. “I’ve resigned from the party by tendering my letter to the ward chairman of the party. EMERGENCY!
Be informed that today 28/1/2020 at about 2:30pm,a Mack Tanker with Reg No JJJ 106 XU fully loaded with cooking gas lost control and crashed into the pavement of Onitsha/Awka Express way, about 150m away from the Pedestrian Bridge, MCC, Onitsha.
The police and other emergency responders are on ground. Traffic has been diverted to a safer lane/route.
Members of the public are kindly advised to keep off the area in view of the combustible nature of the product that the truck involved in the accident is carrying until the situation is brought under control and obstruction cleared please.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
