 Portable apologises to Saheed Osupa, shows off new look after release Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly tendered an apology to Fuji music icon, Saheed Osupa, following his recent arrest and brief remand in a correctional facility. The charges stemmed from a series of online statements he made about the veteran Fuji singer. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN FOR ISSUANCE OF N20M DUD CHEQUE TODAY IN LAGOS.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, arraigned one Lere Fashola Emmanuel and his company, Legal Blitz Limited, before Justice Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on a three-count charge bordering on conversion and issuance of dud cheque to the tune of N20,000,000 (Twenty Million Naira).

One of the counts reads: "That you, Lere Fashola Emmanuel and Legal Blitz Limited, between 5th of January 2018 and 28th day of February 2018, in Lagos within the Ikeja Judicial Division, dishonestly converted for your own use the sum of Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000.00) only property of Mr. Adewumi Adebayo and committed an offence contrary to Sections 278 (1) (f) and 285 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”.He pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
