 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN FOR N45.3M FRAUD TODAY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, arraigned one Mohammed Babagana Alkali alongside his companies, The Million Oil and Gas Limited and Yafandi Oil and Gas Limited , before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State on a 26-count charge bordering on conspiracy to steal, forgery and stealing to the tune of N45,340,500.00
Alikali was alleged to have between June and August, 2019 in Lagos, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N45,340,500.00 (Forty-five Million, Three Hundred and Forty Thousand,Five Hundred) by false pretence from Kain Energy Limited by falsely representing to her that he will purchase Automotive Gas Oil and supply it to Kuramo Industries Nigeria Limited, which representation he knew to be false.
