 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN FOR N45.3M FRAUD TODAY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, arraigned one Mohammed Babagana Alkali alongside his companies, The Million Oil and Gas Limited and Yafandi Oil and Gas Limited , before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State on a 26-count charge bordering on conspiracy to steal, forgery and stealing to the tune of N45,340,500.00
Alikali was alleged to have between June and August, 2019 in Lagos, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N45,340,500.00 (Forty-five Million, Three Hundred and Forty Thousand,Five Hundred) by false pretence from Kain Energy Limited by falsely representing to her that he will purchase Automotive Gas Oil and supply it to Kuramo Industries Nigeria Limited, which representation he knew to be false.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
