  Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and ex-Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal met with former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State on Friday. The visit was revealed by Imran Wakili, a supporter of El-Rufai, in a post on X, where he highlighted El-Rufai’s continued respect for Buhari. The meeting coincided with reports of Atiku, El-Rufai, and Tambuwal engaging opposition leaders in Kaduna State as part of a broader political strategy. Atiku recently announced the formation of a coalition, including Labour Party’s Peter Obi, aimed at challenging President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the 2027 general elections. FIRE OUTBREAK AT DAVID MARK'S HOUSE YESTERDAY IN BENUE STATE.

     The residence of a former Senate President, David Mark, in Otukpo town, Benue State, was gutted by fire, on Thursday.
Witnesses said that the fire spread from a nearby bush bordering the fence of the ex-Senate President’s residence, and bunt down two ambulance vehicles, as well as over 15 motor cycles parked in the premises.
It was gathered that the domestic workers at the residence made frantic efforts to put out the fire without much success, before the arrival of the State Fire Service, in Otukpo.
One of the domestic workers who preferred anonymity, said: “We made every effort to quench the fire, but the more we tried, the more it continued to spread.
“It was when we noticed that we could not stop it from engulfing the Guest House, that we called in the Fire Service.”
At the time of this report, however, none of the family members had yet commented on the matter, even as it was learnt that Mark himself was away from the home.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
