 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.       President Muhammadu Buhari, on behalf of himself and the Federal Government, felicitates most sincerely, with the immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.
In a congratulatory letter to the Distinguished Senator, the President rejoices with him “for legions of achievements and successes in various fields of human endeavour.”
According to President Buhari, the former governor’s “dedication to public service and contributions to nation-building, both at state and federal levels are highly commendable.”
The President joins Senator Amosun’s family, friends and other well-wishers to celebrate with him on this joyous occasion.
He prays that Almighty Allah grants the celebrant long life and good health to continue in the service of the nation and humanity.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
