 Somali PM calls on Somaliland to cut Israel ties, urges reconciliation Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called on Somaliland’s leadership to cut ties with Israel and to resolve disputes with the federal government through dialogue. Barre said relations among Somalis should be addressed through talks rather than confrontation, in remarks during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of North East State. In December 2025, Israel announced mutual recognition with Somaliland, a move strongly rejected by the Somali government as a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and criticised by many countries across the world. “Regarding our brothers in Somaliland, I have nothing new to say.       The Anambra State Police Command wishes to inform the general Public that Following directives by the Inspector-general of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, mni,the Command will henceforth impound all vehicles illegally using Spy number plates,sirens, revolving lights or covered number plates.This is because, such acts if
left unchecked could worsen the security situation in the State.
Inview of the foregoing, the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* has ordered with immediate effect to impound all vehicles illegally using SPY or covered number plates and revolving lights in the State.Anyone found violating such order would also be arrested and prosecuted.A task force has been put in place by the Command to enforce the directive of the IGP.
Consequently, the CP also warns that any Security personnel found escorting their principal with an unmarked vehicle or those with covered vehicle number plates will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.You are kindly requested to give this massage wide publicity in both print,social and electronic media, please.
