 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. EFCC ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS FOR PARADING THEMSELVES AS STAFF OF EFCC AND NAME DROPPING.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Three persons are currently in the net of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for falsely parading as staff of the Commission and dropping the names of the Commission’s officers for illicit material gains from unsuspecting members of the public. The three suspects are Samson Sani, Chinaza Ike and Kenneth Osita.

Prior to his arrest, Sani, 38, and a member of Charted Institute of Forensic and Professionals of Nigeria, CIFIPN, has been parading himself as a Course 8 staff of the EFCC and as well as the Head of Forensic Unit of the Commission. He used his false claims to approach members of the public who have issues in the Commission with promise of assisting them get out of trouble and obtain money from them in the process.

Luck ran out on Sani when sometime in 2019, he collected N5, 000, 000 (Five Million Naira) from one Henry Agbo with a promise to influence the outcome of a criminal matter that concerned him in the Commission and to secure the release of a suspect of interest to him in the custody of the Lagos Office of the EFCC.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
