 MOTHER, 14-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER DIE IN ANAMBRA BUILDING COLLAPSE By Chinyere Nwoye  A three-storey building under construction has collapsed at Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing a woman and her 14-year-old daughter. The incident occurred on Thursday morning, October 8, at No. 11 Emeka Ugwuanyi Street, by Anabanaba, Okpoko, amid heavy rainfall. The collapsed structure reportedly fell on a boys’ quarters located close to the building, trapping occupants who were inside at the time of the incident. The victims were identified as Mrs Happiness Ugoagu and her 14-year-old daughter, Miss Confidence, both indigenes of Uga in Aguata Local Government Area.  They were reportedly asleep when the building collapsed on the boys’ quarters. Following the incident, residents, sympathisers and emergency responders immediately mobilised to the scene in an effort to rescue the trapped persons and clear the debris. FIRE INCIDENT AT UGWU CHELEKWU VILLAGE OKIJA CLAIMS THREE LIVES.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE

        Yesterday 15/2/ 2020 at about 02:am, there was a fire outbreak at the resident of one Chukwuma Aduhuba 'm' of Ugwu Chelekwu Village, Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.As a result three of his children namely (1) Chimankpan Aduhuba 'm' aged 5years (2)Munachimso Aduhuba 'm' aged 2years and (3) Kamsiyochi Aduhuba 'f' aged 2 months sustained varying degrees of burns and died on the spot while property worth millions of Naira destroyed.
Following the distress call,Police patrol team led by DPO Okija Division rushed to the scene,cordoned of the area and the fire was put off by local volunteers before the arrival of fire fighters.
Meanwhile,the victims where photographed and corpses buried by parents according to their customs.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* has ordered for a discreet investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident please.
