 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Many shops were destroyed when fire gutted some sections of Jabi motor Abuja on Friday.
The cause of the fire cannot be ascertained at the time of this report but men of the FCT fire service have arrived the scene .
The incident, which started at 10:12am, led to chaos as passengers and motorists scampered for safety.
The situation got worst when the fire spread to a shop where car batteries and car gas were being sold, causing more havoc .
As time of filing this report, FCT fire fighters have arrived the scene and are battling to put out the fire.
