 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. ALMAJIRI: THE SENATE DELIBERATED TODAY ON THE NEED TO INTEGRATE ALMAJIRI EDUCATION INTO MODERN SYSTEM OF EDUCATION-SEN. AHMAD LAWAN.

    Today, the Senate deliberated on a motion on the Need to Integrate Almajiri Education into Modern System of Education in Nigeria, so as to reduce the number of out of school on the streets.

It is no longer news that the number of out-of-school children is a big challenge facing Nigeria as a nation, as it constitutes not only social but security problems to the country as a whole.

Therefore, it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to ensure that they are enrolled in primary and secondary schools and I am happy that we have began move and onwards doing that today-President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan.
