 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. CORONA-VIRUS: CATHOLIC CHURCH SUSPENDS GIVING HOLY COMMUNION IN THE MOUTH AND THE HAND SHAKE OF PEACE DURING MASS.{PHOTOS}.

     Bishop Alfred Adewale Martins,the Arch-Bishop of Lagos state,passed a circular to all the Catholic churches in Lagos state to stop their Priests from giving holy communion in the mouth to parishioners and start giving them on their hands.The circular also states that the hand shake of ''Peace of the Lord be with you'' will be skipped until further notice,then holy water placed from the entrance of the church was also suspended.The Catholic Church who really cares for his members,is suspending all this important ceremonies in the church especially during this Easter period because of the Corona-virus {COVID-19}.Remember to always wash your hands,sneeze in a disposable tissue,then cover your nose ,mouth and hands if you are in a crowed-ed place.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
