 FG reaffirms commitment to North-East inclusion in Agro-Industrial Project amid exclusion claims The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has dismissed concerns raised by the North-East Caucus of the National Assembly regarding the alleged exclusion of the region from the Federal Government's flagship agricultural initiative the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) program. The minister of agriculture and food security Sen. Abubakar Kyari made the clarification over the weekend while briefing the media. He noted that the North-East is not only included in the SAPZ program, but that several states from the region have already met the eligibility criteria for the second phase of the project. The response comes on the heels of public criticisms sparked by the recent groundbreaking ceremonies in Kaduna and Cross River states.      Bishop Alfred Adewale Martins,the Arch-Bishop of Lagos state,passed a circular to all the Catholic churches in Lagos state to stop their Priests from giving holy communion in the mouth to parishioners and start giving them on their hands.The circular also states that the hand shake of ''Peace of the Lord be with you'' will be skipped until further notice,then holy water placed from the entrance of the church was also suspended.The Catholic Church who really cares for his members,is suspending all this important ceremonies in the church especially during this Easter period because of the Corona-virus {COVID-19}.Remember to always wash your hands,sneeze in a disposable tissue,then cover your nose ,mouth and hands if you are in a crowed-ed place.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
