  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. GOV. UZODINMA RECALLS 3,500 CIVIL SERVANTS SACKED BY IHEDIOHA.{PHOTO}.

     No fewer than 3,500 civil servants in Imo state recently sacked by the immediate past Government of Emeka Ihedioha have been reinstated.
DAILY POST reports that the new state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma Friday, approved the release of their appointment letters and instructed that they are remunerated as at when due.
According to our correspondent in the state, the Governor has charged the Head of Service, Camillus Chibuzor Nwagwu to integrate the reinstated civil servants in the scheme of things, insisting that the government is poised to creating more job opportunities rather than disengaging the people.
In his reaction, the former Transition Committee chairman of Nkwerre local government area of Imo state, Pascal Onwukaike, he applauded the Governor for adopting all the previous projects and policies started by his predecessors.
Onwukaike maintained that the Governor’s style of governance shows that he is poised to recovering the state from its present state, calling on Imo people to support the new government to record success.
It would be recalled that Chief Emeka Ihedioha, upon assumption of office as the Governor, relieved some civil servants earlier employed by his predecessor from 2015 to 2018, of their duties.
In like manner, he dissolved the local government council chairmen and ward councillors elected during Rochas Okorocha’s administration.Meanwhile, the Governor has sworn in the newly appointed Acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Ijeoma Agugua and charged her on prompt delivery.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
