 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements. CORPS MEMBERS DONATE FACE MASKS TO NASARAWA STATE GOVERNMENT.{PHOTOS}.

    Corps Members in Nasarawa State today donated more than one thousand face masks as their contribution to combat the spread of corona virus in the State.
The Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe who is also the Chairman, Nasarawa State Task Force on COVID-19 received the donation on behalf of the State Government.
He said the donation will go a long way in combating the pandemic which has already claimed several lives in many countries around the globe.
Dr Akabe thanked the Corps Members for their foresight and assured them of judicious utilisation of the facemasks. He further called on them to support one another with love irrespective of religious and tribal affiliations.
Akabe also disclosed that Corps Volunteers would soon be trained to man the COVID-19 Isolation Centers in the State.More photos below.
