 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.      The Anambra State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the Command in compliance with the directives of the Anambra State Government in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 has commenced total enforcement of lockdown order in the State with immediate effect.
In view of this,the public are kindly requested to stay at home. No movement, no local transportation. The index case has been in the State since march 28th and has socialized extensively. This extreme restriction became necessary in order to identify and isolate primary and secondary contacts as well as ensure no further spread as the contact tracing is ongoing.
The public is to note that the Police and all security Agencies in the State are geared to enforce this order to the letter in observance of overriding public health interest.
Meanwhile,the Public are urged to utilise the following phone numbers in case of any emergency and to report observed breaches of the lockdown order or other security needs accordingly.
