 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.       The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, on his 68th birthday.
Gbajabiamila said Oshiomhole's sterling leadership qualities as the APC National Chairman have contributed tremendously in stabilizing the party since his coming on board in July, 2018.
In a congratulatory message by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker said Oshiomhole has proven to be one committed Nigerian, who continues to work tirelessly in moving the country forward.
Describing the APC National Chairman as a pragmatic leader, the Speaker said: "On this day, I join millions of Nigerians, especially members of our party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in congratulating and celebrating our National Chairman on his 68th birthday.
"Right from his days as a labour leader to his period as an elected governor of Edo State for eight years, Adams Oshiomhole has proven his mettle as a leader with an uncommon sense of patriotism.
"He has brought his experience of decades and political sagacity to bear in leading the APC to victory during the 2019 general elections. His firm commitment to party supremacy and discipline is a trait that many do not have.
"Oshiomhole is one individual that has weathered the storm in difficult circumstances and has come out stronger. He remains ever determined to ensure the continuous unity and harmony among members of our great party.
"While thanking him for all that he has done for the APC to remain one, I pray that God Almighty will continue giving him the wisdom and energy to pilot the affairs of our party," Gbajabiamila said.
