 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has condoled his Adamawa State counterpart, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri over the loss of his mother.

Governor Matawalle said he received the news of Hajiya Fatima Ahmadu Badami's death with great shock, but said the Will of Allah always suffice.

He described the deceased as an astitute mother who gave his college all the good qualities of a responsible human being and a great leader.

"Indeed, we love our mother very much, but Allah loves her most and has taken her away especially in this very sacred and bountiful month of Ramadan", Governor Matawalle observed.

He called on his colleague to bear the pains of this irreparable loss with great courage and feel more comfortable that she has returned to her Lord as a fulfilled mother. "Only Allah can reward her for her efforts in bringing you up to this level in your life", Governor Matawalle advised.
"On behalf of myself, my family  the Government and the good people of Zamfara State, I convey to you our heartfelt condolence. May Allah reward her with the highest abode in jannatil fil daus", Governor Matawalle prayed.

Hajiya Fatima died this morning in Yola at the age of 68 after a protracted illness.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
