 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.     The Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa State on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development Mr. John Waje Mamman, has been kidnapped last night.
Mr Mamman was kidnnaped precisely around 8pm on Saturday in his house at Dari, in kokona Local Government Area of the state.
A source who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity said Mamman along side his associates in the community were said to be relaxing in his compound as a result of unfriendly weather, when kidnappers invaded his house and whisked him away.
According to him, the kidnappers surrounded his house and started shootting sporadically which made Mamman and his friends scampared for safety.
The source however said luck ran out against one of the suspected kidnappers as he was napped by some members of the community.
No communication has been made between the suspected kidnappers and Mamman relations since yesterday.Details later......
