 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. TOURIST BOAT OPERATORS GET LASG RELIEF PACKAGE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, donated some relief packages to the Association of Tourist Boat Operators and Water Transporters of Nigeria (ATBOWATON), Lagos State Chapter.
The food items were presented to the Association through the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), the regulatory body for water transportation in the State.
The gesture according to the General Manager of LASWA, Mr. Damilola Emmanuel, was in continuation of the State Government's efforts to cushion the effects of the lockdown on different clusters of individuals and groups across Lagos metropolis.
He expressed the Governor's concern about the effect of the stay-at-home order on the businesses of members of the Association who are largely daily income earners.
"This gesture is to assist members of (ATBOWATON) and their families cope with the effects of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on their businesses", the General Manager said.Responding, the National President of the Association, Mr. Gani Tarzan Balogun, who also donated cartons of sanitisers to the members to support the State government's gesture, expressed the profound appreciation of all members of the association to Lagos State government for the relief materials.More photos below.
