 Up at dawn for front-row seat to history at Francis’s funeral Many had woken up at dawn while others slept in their cars before Catholic faithful poured into St Peter’s Square from all corners of the globe on Saturday, fuelled by a desire to honour Pope Francis. As the first rays of the day rose over the sprawling Baroque plaza, mourners rushed towards empty chairs once they had passed through metal detectors, anxious for a front-row seat to history. Among them was Jean-Baptiste Leclezio, a 22-year-old from Lyon, who slept on the ground overnight at the seat of the Catholic Church to be among the first to enter for the funeral of Francis, who died on Monday age 88. “We took floor mats and sleeping bags and we slept there with 400 people, a lot of young people, scouts,” he told AFP. “There were people singing all night but we managed to sleep,” he said. VGN RESCUES 12YR OLD GIRL FROM KIDNAPPER IN OGUN.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 The men of Vigilante Group of Nigeria has rescued a 12 years old girl from the hand of a kidnapper at the point of where tge kidnapper was stylishly taking the girl away.The girl named Ogunleye Opeyemi was rescued yesterday at St. John School, Kuto from a woman kidnapper who took to her heels when she saw the officers of VGN who suspected their interactions at Kuto, Abeokuta the capital of Ogun State.Opeyemi at Kuto, Abeokuta
Opeyemi during interogation said she came from Ogere to sell pufpuf balls at kuto market so that she can be on her way to meet her parents at Sango Ota, Ogun where they reside.It was later discovered that while Opeyemi was at Ogere, she was maltreated as a house girl which prompt her trying to locate her parents at Sango Ota.The girl has been handed over to the police officers at Ibara police divisional headquaters.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
