 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.      His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun) has approved the sum of N470 Million loan subsidy on food to the state civil servants.The Governor made this known today when he hosted Labour leaders to  break the Ramadan fast at his residence in Gusau the state capital.Matawalle said his administration resolved to reduce the hardship being experienced in the state as a result of the Covid-19 and has directed for the supply of rice that will be sold to the State civil servants at a 50 percent discount.He also assured that there will be no cut in salaries as proposed by other Governors and called on the state civil servants to appreciate Government efforts in improving the welfare of the state citizens.He promised for the continued payment of salaries and wages as at when due including those on promotions and leave grants.Earlier in his address the State NLC Chairman, Comrade, Bashir Mohammed Mafara thanked the State Governor for granting the subsidy approval to the State civil servants saying, this is the first time civil servants were witnessing such gesture.He promised that the union will continue support and cooperate with all the government policies and programmes.The iftar was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, Chief of Staff Government House, Col Bala Mande rtd, Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha, Honourable Commissioner Special Duties, Muhammad Maiturare Sadiq and the Special Adviser, labour Matters, Comrade Bello Galadima Maguru among others.
