 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.      On 09/05/2020, the Assistant Commissioner of Police incharge of Operations Anambra State Police Command *ACP David Iloyanomon* paid a routine visit to JTF deployed to Omor and Umumbo communities where Communal crisis occured recently.The ACP conveyed the massage of the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* to the officers and men and lectured them to be professional in their conduct and maintain high level of discipline. He also boosted their Morale and left them in high spirit.
Consequently,the officer equally addressed the youths and vigilante members of the two communities involved in the recent conflict following a rumour of renewed clash being pedled by mischief makers which was discovered to be false.He admonished the people to maintain peace and adhere to the resolution reached by Ayamelum Leaders of thought to lay down their arms, embrace peace,and allow free passage to their opponents to access their farm lands without hindrance or molestation.
Meanwhile,the Area is relatively calm and normalcy restored.Joint patrol still ongoing in order to avert any further breakdown of law and order in the Area please.
