Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.     The Ecomomic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office on Thursday, May 7, 2020, took its enlightenment campaign to residents of Kaduna State and its environs, charging them to beware of online fraud.
According to the Zonal Head, Mailafia Yakubu who represented the Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, during a Live Radio Programme on Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC, parents should closely monitor their children especially during the stay-at-home order following the COVID-19 pandemic.
His words; “If not closely monitored, some children will be negatively busy on the internet, which might lead to more harm than good after the lockdown period".More photos below.
